Keepsake Boxes

Today on the blog I'm sharing one of the ways that I've learned to say yes to something I genuinely enjoy, even when it doesn't feel like the most practical choice. Photography Wedding Keepsake Boxes It's been around three years since I quit my day job at an accounting office to pursue photography.  Back in the day, as I jumped into the world of art, photography, and running a business, it felt (and still does actually) like I didn't have the time to do all of the things that I wanted to do creatively.  I have more ideas and inspiration than time to execute them all.  I believe this is simply the nature of creativity, and I am learning that you need to simply TAKE THE TIME to execute the ideas that make your heart sing.  It is SO easy to fall back on the excuse of "I don't have time" ...and I get it.  You don't.  I don't.  We don't have time.   This is not a mandate to go make ALL of your ideas happen, because let's face it - not all of our ideas are that great.  We aren't meant to pursue every creative whim that strikes us.  Unfortunately, too often we fall into the trap of waiting for that ideal moment to make our creative dreams come to life.  Chances are, that ideal moment may never come around.  I have found that most often art and creativity do not happen when everything is perfect and we have time.  They happen in the fringe moments when life is crazy and we choose to make art anyway. One of the little things that makes my heart sing is pretty presentation, so today on the blog I'm featuring the Keepsake Boxes that I send out to my wedding clients.  These little boxes started off a bit more simply than this and they keep evolving over time.  No two are the same, and it's a fun little way that I get to experiment and be creative. I know it's small and kind of ridiculous, but it makes me insanely happy to send off pretty little boxes with prints, chocolate, and a cute little custom wooden USB. Happy Wednesday folks!  Make space for something that makes your heart sing today.
